Avis Lee (Pittman) Howard, 80, of Lawrence, IN, passed away on September 27, 2015. She was born on February 7, 1935 to Phineas Lee and Daisy Mae Pittman in Richlands, NC, where she graduated high school.
She is survived by her husband Johnny W. Howard; children Cheryl (Bob) Short, Randy (Kristie) Howard, Steve (Tammy) Howard, Cara (Tony) Schabel, and Lori (Jeremy) Ross; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and brother Aubrey (Nita) Pittman.
She is preceded in death by her parents Phineas Lee and Daisy Mae Pittman; siblings Lavern (Shirley) Pittman, Marice (Charlotte survives) Pittman, Elwood “Red” (Esther survives) Pittman, Lois (Lloyd) Keicher, Swannie (Hollingsworth survives) Marshburn, and Bobby Ray Pittman.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Sterrett Center, 8950 Otis Ave., Lawrence, IN 46216, at 1:00 pm, with a Memorial at 2:00 pm, and a reception dinner will follow.

Oh the memories in your home as a child. I think I stayed at your house as much as I did my own. I lost my mom early 2014. Where does time go? Hugs to the family!
